Yogscast parts ways with content creator over allegations of sexual exploitation

Content Creator Accused of Making Sexual Advances Towards Fans and Moderators

A well-known content creator on YouTube and Twitch, Matthew “CaffCast” Meredith, is facing accusations of making sexual advances towards his fans and moderators on his Discord server.

Allegations of Attempted Sexual Relationships

A moderator of CaffCast’s public Discord server recently made a post detailing alleged instances of attempted sexual relationships between the YouTuber and his fans. According to the post, CaffCast instructed the moderators to hide his relationship status from fans in order to increase his chances of forming these sexual relationships.

Concerns Raised by Moderators

The post also revealed that CaffCast insisted on having female moderators, regardless of their abilities, as a means to “easily groom them for his sexual motivations.” While some of these suggestions were rejected, it was later discovered that other female moderators who were accepted were further preyed upon by CaffCast.

Yogscast Terminates CaffCast’s Relationship

In 2016, CaffCast joined popular U.K. multi-channel network The Yogscast. However, following the allegations, Yogscast CEO Mark “Turps” Turpin released a statement on Reddit announcing the termination of CaffCast’s relationship with the company due to his conduct being a breach of their talent agreements and code of conduct.

Since the decision was made, CaffCast has deleted his social media accounts and disabled comments on his YouTube videos.
