Fans excited as xQc dominates Twitch Rivals Overwatch 2 Pride Celebration tournament

xQc, the popular Twitch streamer and former Overwatch pro, continues to captivate his audience by participating in the recent Twitch Rivals Overwatch 2 Pride Celebration tournament. His presence boosted the viewership of the event significantly, drawing attention from his loyal fanbase. The tournament featured eight teams, with xQc being joined by other renowned Overwatch gamers as team captains.

Impressive viewership numbers for xQc

During the tournament, xQc’s stream garnered a massive 254,113 hours watched, with an average viewership of 70,915, accounting for more than half of the total viewers. These numbers solidify xQc’s position as one of Twitch’s most-watched content creators.

Tournament format and results

The event lasted approximately five hours and followed a format where teams were divided into two groups of four and competed in a round-robin format on a control map. The top two teams from each group advanced to the championship bracket, while the bottom two teams entered the consolation bracket. The bracket stage consisted of single-elimination matches, best-of-three, with maps including Push, Hybrid, and Escort.

xQc’s team’s performance

Despite xQc’s dominating viewership, his team did not fare well in the tournament. They suffered losses in every match they played, going 0-2 in all the control maps during the group stage. In the consolation bracket, Team Mendo, led by xQc, lost their first match 0-2 and subsequently lost to Team AnneMunition, securing last place with just one map win in comparison to the opposing team’s two victories.
