XQc warns Adin Ross about mirroring Andrew Tate’s risky path

XQc Offers Advice to Adin Ross on Streaming Decision

Adin Ross recently made the announcement that he would begin streaming on the beta platform, Kick. Despite being far from the perfect role model, veteran streamer XQc shared some wisdom with Ross during a livestream last night.

The Kick platform has already garnered criticism for its ties to the gambling company Stake and its lack of moderation, despite being relatively new. One notable critic of the platform is former Twitch staffer DJWheat, who called Kick a “sham” after Trainwreck announced his advisory role with the platform.

From XQc’s perspective, Ross’ actions resemble those of controversial figure Andrew Tate in terms of how he behaves and interacts with his audience. Notably, Ross is a known fan and friend of Tate, who has faced bans on multiple platforms due to his openly misogynistic behavior. Tate is currently detained in Romania on suspicions of human trafficking.

XQc expressed concern for Ross, stating, “He’s trying really hard to emulate the things that are happening to Tate. It’s a really unhealthy rabbit hole to go down. I don’t think he truly wants it. I don’t think he gets it. This is just my opinion. I don’t think he understands how these things are going to work and what is happening, but he’s still emulating them.”

By speaking out about being silenced, Ross seems to be embodying some of Tate’s controversial qualities. Tate faced numerous bans on social media for sharing his controversial viewpoints with a large audience. XQc believes Ross is taking a page out of Tate’s playbook by leaning into the idea that Twitch doesn’t want fans to know the truth.

Ross hinted at Twitch preventing him from doing and saying certain things in a recent YouTube video titled “They tried to silence me.” He did not disclose the specifics but announced his decision to stream on Kick. However, he left the possibility open for a return to Twitch if his community prefers the more established platform.

Trainwreck also previously announced his intention to stream on Kick while still streaming on Twitch. Both streamers remain partners on Twitch thanks to a change in the platform’s rules regarding affiliate and partnered creators streaming on other platforms.
