xQc shows indifference towards Twitch fans’ perception of his declining content quality

Twitch Star xQc Faces Criticism for Shift in Streaming Content

Twitch star Felix “xQc” Lengyel has been streaming more in the Just Chatting and Slots categories in 2022 compared to previous years, which has drawn criticism from fans. However, xQc remains unfazed by the negative feedback.

Increase in Streaming Hours

In 2022, xQc has streamed the Just Chatting and Slots categories for a total of 685 and 175 hours, respectively. This is slightly less than the hours he dedicated to these categories in 2021, which were 800 and 50 hours, respectively.

Popularity Unaffected

Despite the shift in content, xQc’s popularity and momentum have not been impacted. In fact, he has become the most talked-about streamer on Twitch, although some of the attention is in the form of criticism.

Response to Critics

During a recent stream on Aug. 14, a fan expressed their disappointment with xQc’s current content, referencing his previous style in a playful way. xQc responded by dismissing the criticism, suggesting that the fan is a casual viewer who frequents the LivestreamFail subreddit on Reddit.

He further explained that he does not pay attention to negative comments from Reddit because those users typically don’t watch his streams and are only seeking attention and validation online. xQc concluded his response by stating that since these critics don’t watch his content, he sees no reason to care about their opinions.

Despite his strong reaction, xQc’s fans were surprised by his response. It is possible that the criticism hit a nerve, especially considering the attention his gambling content has been receiving lately.
