XQc faces consequences for terminating his character’s existence in GTA RP

XQc Punished in NoPixel GTA Roleplay Servers for Character Death

Former pro Overwatch player and current Twitch streamer Félix “xQc” Lengyel recently faced consequences in the NoPixel GTA Roleplay servers for intentionally ending his character’s life. This led to xQc being moved down in the server’s priority queue and losing the high priority status he had as a popular streamer.

XQc’s Character’s Dramatic Ending

XQc’s character, Jean-Pierre, had a dramatic ending in GTA RP. He chose to toss himself off the roof of a building, delivering his last words to his friend Dann, who was played by fellow streamer Pokelaws. Pokelaws added a mellow song and moved the camera to enhance the emotional moment.

Complaints About xQc’s Roleplay

XQc’s decision to end his character’s life was apparently influenced by complaints from his Twitch chat about his roleplaying in GTA RP NoPixel. While the server allows players to have freedom in their roleplay, they are expected to ensure their character’s behavior aligns with their chosen personality traits. However, xQc’s chat felt that his choices often deviated from what was appropriate for his character’s development in the game. In response to these complaints, xQc defended himself on Twitter, stating that the game is meant to be a fun escape where players can make choices they wouldn’t make in real life. The death of Jean-Pierre may have been a form of protest against the chat’s aggressive complaints.

Rules and Consequences in NoPixel

Although the rules of NoPixel do not explicitly address intentionally ending a character’s life, there are two rules that could apply to this situation. One rule emphasizes the impact a character’s death can have on the connected stories, while another states that players should realistically fear for their lives when threatened. Breaking these rules may have contributed to xQc’s decision to end his character’s life.

XQc continued to play GTA RP on the NoPixel servers after the incident, despite facing consequences for his actions.
