XQc’s Failed Attempt to Reunite Destiny and Hasan
Former Overwatch League pro XQc recently tried to mend the broken relationship between popular streamers Destiny and Hasan. However, his plan didn’t go as intended, and the reunion between the two was short-lived.
The Faces of Twitch’s Political Scene
Destiny and Hasan have been prominent figures in Twitch’s political scene at different points in their streaming careers. When Hasan started streaming in March 2018, he quickly partnered with Twitch veteran Destiny.
A Strong Friendship Blossomed
For a few months, Destiny and Hasan were inseparable. They streamed video game content, hosted intense political debates, and even did IRL streams together when Destiny moved to Los Angeles. Their friendship provided consistent content for both of their communities.
A Bitter Parting of Ways
Unfortunately, the two eventually went their separate ways, resulting in one of Twitch’s long-lasting streamer conflicts. They have taken shots at each other on Twitter and their own streams but have not interacted directly for over two years.
Involvement of xQc
Frequent guest xQc took it upon himself to try to reunite the dynamic duo. He invited both Destiny and Hasan to a group call, hoping to spark a constructive conversation about the recent Ukraine crisis.
Failed Reunion
Despite his best efforts, xQc’s attempt to bring Destiny and Hasan together fell short. Hasan left the group call without even saying a word, leading xQc to express his disappointment. Destiny explained why Hasan would avoid engaging with him, stating that he prefers to have fun with his audience rather than have challenging conversations.
The Divide Remains
Though this was a close encounter between the two streamers in months, it is clear that the divide between Destiny and Hasan cannot be bridged at this time.
