‘xQc criticizes Twitch’s newest subscriber feature following its inconspicuous addition to the site’

Twitch Streamer xQc Expresses Displeasure with New Subscriber Notification Feature

Twitch star xQc was not happy with a new subscriber notification feature on the platform, stating that it should not have been released.

The feature is a horizontal banner at the top of the chat, providing real-time updates on subscriber-related activities such as donations and bits.

During his stream on July 27, xQc noticed the feature for the first time and immediately expressed his dissatisfaction. He pointed it out to his viewers, saying, “Twitch, this is not it! This is not it. Nope. Absolutely not!”

The streamer did not specify exactly what he disliked about the feature.

However, it can be inferred that he found it distracting, despite the option to hide it by clicking on the right-hand side. xQc also complained that it caused lag in his browser, which further frustrated him. He exclaimed, “I can’t even click anymore. This is so dumb!” and criticized the developers.

The top Twitch streamer added, “This should have never been pushed to live. Nobody should have pushed this to the live servers. How did they think it was okay to push this into the live servers? What the actual fuck?”

Twitch has recently introduced several new features, such as the Guest Star, Shared Ban Info, and Charity features. The subscriber notification feature is still in the experimental stage, and Twitch plans to gather feedback from the community before an official launch.

While the notification feature may not be a significant change, it was quietly added as an experiment. If more streamers share xQc’s concerns, Twitch will make adjustments based on their feedback.
