XQc and other streamers mock NASA’s chaotic Twitch livestream

NASA’s Livestream of James Webb Space Telescope Faced Technical Difficulties

NASA recently released the first images from the highly anticipated James Webb Space Telescope, which provided stunning views of our solar system and beyond. However, the livestream of the event on Twitch encountered significant technical issues that overshadowed the discoveries.

Livestream Problems Steal the Show

Within minutes of the presentation, the livestream started experiencing frequent pauses, buffering, and restarts. The stream suffered from audio issues and struggled to maintain connections with offsite locations throughout the two-hour broadcast.

NMASlol and Melena, popular streamers, voiced their criticism of NASA’s production team. NMASlol pointed out the poor audio quality, particularly the problem of microphones popping. Melena highlighted the irony of NASA’s advanced space technology being contrasted with their subpar production abilities.

Twitch Streamers Compare NASA’s Broadcast to Esports Production

Streamer Zoil compared NASA’s production to that of OTK’s recent Games Expo, suggesting that the esports organization’s production quality was superior. Another popular Twitch streamer, xQc, also joined in on criticizing NASA’s broadcast, expressing frustration with the lack of visibility of people on screen despite the telescope’s remarkable capabilities.

Awe-Inspiring Telescope, Lackluster Broadcast

While the James Webb Space Telescope amazed and excited viewers worldwide with its incredible images, the accompanying livestream left much to be desired in terms of production quality.
