Xbox Enhances Console Experience with Twitch Streaming Integration

Xbox Allows Direct Twitch Streaming from Consoles

Xbox has introduced a new update that allows players to stream directly to Twitch from the guide menu on their consoles. This feature is currently available for Xbox Insiders in the Alpha-Skip Ahead ring, enabling them to test out livestreaming to Twitch effortlessly.

How to Stream to Twitch from Xbox

To stream to Twitch from Xbox, Insiders need to navigate to the “Capture and Share” tab and select “Live streaming.” This will initiate the process of livestreaming directly to Twitch. However, it is necessary to link the Xbox account to the Twitch account using the console settings beforehand.

Streaming Process and Features

Once the accounts are linked, streamers can simply hit the “Go live now” button to start streaming their gameplay to Twitch. In the event that a streamer switches to another app or the home screen, viewers will see a pause screen. It should be noted that the clarification regarding voice transmission through the streaming service is still unclear, as it remains uncertain whether it only records gameplay or includes voice as well.

Improved Streaming Experience

This new update offers streamers a more streamlined way to broadcast live to their viewership. Previously, streamers had to download the Twitch app to stream from Xbox consoles. With this update, however, the streaming process is simplified, eliminating the need for an additional app.

In case of any issues, Xbox has provided a list of known issues and workarounds on their website. Streamers can refer to these resources to troubleshoot any livestreaming problems.

Additionally, this update also allows players to enjoy Xbox Series X/S titles on Xbox One consoles through cloud gaming.
