Will Amouranth’s Streamer Royale return in 2023?

Amouranth’s Streamer Royale: Will It Return in 2023?

Amouranth’s Streamer Royale, which took place in May 2022 on Twitch, was a thrilling event where popular streamers competed in physical challenges. The challenges included tasks like hunting for flags in a foam pit and engaging in gladiatorial battles using rubber sticks.

The event was a massive success, attracting 275,000 viewers and reaching a peak of 31,400 concurrent viewers, as per data from StreamsCharts. Although I didn’t watch the entire event, the snippets I saw were impressive in terms of production quality. It was also great to see Meowri, a streamer, emerge as the winner and witness a boost in her popularity.

Given the success of Streamer Royale and Amouranth’s growing popularity on Twitch in 2022, it seemed likely that the event would return this year. However, since she moved to Kick in June 2023, there’s uncertainty about its future.

Will Amouranth’s Streamer Royale Make a Comeback in 2023?

At this point, there’s no confirmation or denial from Amouranth regarding the event’s return. Her platform switch shouldn’t affect the event since she still maintains creative freedom, if not more, and can invite whomever she chooses.

During an episode of the 100 Thieves Cast in January 2023, Amouranth hinted at another massive project that will potentially compete with Streamer Royale. She described the unnamed project as “completely different” and more of a “game show experience in person.” While it won’t be a sequel to Streamer Royale, it might draw inspiration from it.

That being said, there’s still a possibility of Streamer Royale returning. Only time will reveal whether it will make a comeback or if Amouranth has something even bigger and better in store.
