‘Why I Chose to Stay: PewDiePie shares his reasons for staying on YouTube despite ‘retirement”

PewDiePie Reveals Why He Hasn’t Really Retired

In a recent YouTube video, PewDiePie explained why he continues to upload videos on the platform despite announcing his retirement two years ago.

From Humble Beginnings to YouTube Superstar

PewDiePie started his YouTube career in April 2010 and quickly became one of the most successful channels on the platform. With over 111 million subscribers, he currently holds the fourth-largest creator spot.

Retirement? Not Quite

After stepping back from the YouTube rat race and even relocating to Japan, PewDiePie still uploads videos on his massive platform. In a recent video, he addressed why he continues to create content despite considering himself ‘retired’.

A Return to the Fun

PewDiePie clarifies that his retirement announcement meant that he wanted to go back to creating content for fun, like he did when he first started on YouTube. He no longer focuses on creating result-oriented videos but instead shares enjoyable experiences with his viewers.

“YouTube has become fun again for the past two years,” says PewDiePie. “And that’s when I realized, why should I quit? It’s my dream after all to do YouTube. I’ve worked so hard for this.”

PewDiePie’s retirement from the platform seems to involve regular uploads as he continues to revisit what initially drew him to YouTube.
