In a shocking turn of events, popular Twitch streamer Amouranth recently revealed that she has been a victim of abuse by her husband. Despite never appearing on her streams, her husband allegedly orchestrated her rigorous streaming schedule, sexual content, and isolation from other streamers.
Amouranth’s Allegations and Details
During a live-streamed call, Amouranth had initially muted the audio, but she turned it on after her husband allegedly threatened to harm her dogs. Following the call, the streamer claimed that her husband pressured her to appear single on-stream, despite wanting to make their relationship public.
Amouranth also alleged that her husband had control over their finances and repeatedly threatened to leave her with only a fraction of her income if they were to divorce. She shared text messages where her husband threatened to destroy her belongings and invest a significant amount of money into cryptocurrency.
With over 30,000 hours streamed since 2016, Amouranth has one of the longest streaming schedules on Twitch. She claimed that her husband convinced her to grind through long hours because of the financial opportunities presented by the “hot tub meta.” This relentless streaming schedule caused her to sleep only three to five hours per night.
Amouranth also showed physical damage to her home, including cracks in the wall allegedly caused by her husband throwing a phone at her. She revealed that he also prevented her from attending streamer-led events under the pretense of making more money at home.
