When is the release date for the first raid in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands?

New Expansion of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Allows Players Time to Level Up Before Raids

The highly anticipated expansion of World of Warcraft, Shadowlands, was released earlier this week. If you’re still in the process of leveling up, don’t worry. You have some time before you need to reach the maximum level and enter Castle Nathria, the first raid of the expansion.

In a similar fashion to the previous expansion, BFA, players will have a couple of weeks after the launch of Shadowlands to explore the game’s new zones and level up before the raid becomes available.

Just like in Battle for Azeroth, players will have the opportunity to experience Castle Nathria on Normal and Heroic difficulties before more challenging versions are unlocked.

Castle Nathria will be officially released on December 8 in North America and December 9 in Europe. However, initially, players will only be able to tackle the raid on Normal and Heroic difficulties for that weekly reset.

The Race to World First event will take place the following week when the Mythic difficulty of Castle Nathria becomes available on December 15 in North America and December 16 in Europe.

At this time, the first wing of the raid will also be accessible on the Raid Finder (LFR) difficulty.

LFR is divided into four sections, with each wing being released separately on a weekly basis. After the first wing opens on December 15, the remaining three wings will become available on January 5, January 19, and February 2, respectively.
