Twitch star Pokimane recently announced her departure from OfflineTV, a content creator group she co-founded in 2017. The news came as a shock to her loyal fans.
Reasons Behind Pokimane’s Departure
Pokimane’s decision to leave OfflineTV was based on what she felt was best for both herself and the organization. In a recent stream, she explained that being a full-time member of the group came with a lot of commitments and responsibilities, making it increasingly difficult for her to balance everything.
One of the reasons behind her departure was not wanting to be a burden for the group, as she didn’t want them to have to plan things around her. Additionally, she didn’t want to disappoint fans who expected her to attend all collaborations and events. An example of this was when she couldn’t join OTV’s Japan trip in 2022 because she had already committed to attending TwitchCon in Europe.
Embracing New Opportunities
Leaving OfflineTV allows Pokimane to have the freedom to explore new opportunities and continue evolving in her career and personal life. She expressed her desire to “dabble in different things” and explore new avenues.
Remaining a Part of the OTV Family
Although Pokimane has left OfflineTV, she remains on good terms with everyone and considers herself a part of the OTV family. She mentioned that they can always collaborate in the future, especially since they all live in Los Angeles.
Pokimane has not revealed whether she remains a co-owner of the group, but she is open to discussing it if the group shares more details in the future.
