What is the MCC in Minecraft?

The Minecraft Championship: A Competitive Minecraft Event

The Minecraft Championship (MCC) is an exciting Minecraft event organized by Noxcrew, a well-known creator in the Minecraft community. They have developed high-quality texture packs, adventure maps, and skins that are beloved by Minecraft players.

This event was established after Minecraft Monday was cancelled in fall 2019, leaving a void for competitive Minecraft action in the hearts of many fans. The MCC consists of 10 teams of four players who compete in a series of mini-games designed to test their core Minecraft skills. These mini-games include parkours, combat, teamwork tasks, and survival challenges. Teams earn coins based on their performance in these games, which directly impacts their overall placement in the event.

Although there have been instances of fan-made teams participating in the event, the teams are typically composed of Minecraft content creators and personalities. After each event, team members are shuffled around, making each iteration of the MCC unique.

How to Watch the Minecraft Championship

If you want a broader perspective on the mini-games being played, Noxcrew hosts an admin stream during each MCC. This is a great way to tune in and follow the event. Alternatively, you can choose to watch the streams of your favorite content creators, as each participant is allowed to stream the event from their own point of view.

Before each event, we recommend checking the list of participants to ensure you know who to follow when the MCC kicks off.

Frequency and Duration of the MCC

The MCC does not have a fixed schedule, but Noxcrew aims to organize it approximately once a month. To stay up to date with the event dates, it’s best to follow the official MCC Twitter account, as they promptly announce the upcoming MCCs to the fans.

The duration of each MCC event typically lasts around two to three hours. However, the length may vary in case of any delays or disconnections. Noxcrew has a commendable track record of keeping everything well-organized.
