MontanaBlack88 is the most successful Twitch streamer in Germany. In the past 90 days, he ranked 18th on the platform in terms of viewership, surpassing even popular streamers like Tyler1, according to data from SullyGnome.
When MontanaBlack88 is gaming, he mainly streams games like GTA V RP, FIFA, and Call of Duty Warzone or Black Ops 4. However, he also engages in Just Chatting streams. Over the past year, his audience has grown significantly. In August, he reached over four million followers and has been streaming with an average of 54,222 concurrent viewers in the last 30 days, as reported by SullyGnome.
Recently, a data breach exposed the alleged earnings of Twitch channels over the past 26 months. Surprisingly, MontanaBlack88 was one of the few non-English speakers to appear in the top 20. According to the leak, the German streamer earned $2,391,391 from August 2019 to October 2021.
This payout includes earnings from Twitch subscriptions, advertisements, and bits. However, it does not include donations, merchandising deals, and sponsorships, as those funds directly benefit the streamer. Unlike others, MontanaBlack88 has not commented on the accuracy of these figures on social media.
Twitch released a statement on October 15, assuring users that payment information and passwords were not compromised. The platform, owned by Amazon, thoroughly reviewed the leaked files and determined that only a “small fraction” of users were affected. It remains to be seen what impact this data breach will have on the streaming community.
