Voyboy raises more than $40,000 for American Foundation for Suicide Prevention to honor Reckful

Popular Streamer Voyboy Raises Over $40,000 for AFSP in Honor of Reckful

Well-known Twitch streamer and former professional League of Legends player Voyboy has managed to raise more than $40,000 for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) today. This fundraising effort is in memory of Reckful, a prominent figure in the gaming community who tragically passed away at the young age of 31 on July 2.

Voyboy initially set the goal for the stream at $25,000. However, the generous contributions from the viewers surpassed this goal after nearly 15 hours of broadcasting. By the end of the stream, Voyboy had raised over $35,000. In an additional act of kindness, he personally matched another $5,000 in donations to push the total amount raised beyond $40,000.

Reckful was well-known for his competitive play in World of Warcraft during the late 2000s. Reports emerged on July 2 about his passing due to suicide, which was later confirmed by his brother, Gary Bernstein, through a heartfelt message on Twitter.
