Valkyrae achieves remarkable growth on YouTube, crosses 3 million subscriber milestone

YouTube Star Valkyrae Doubles Subscriber Count in One Year

Popular streamer Valkyrae has seen a significant increase in her YouTube subscriber count since signing an exclusive streaming contract with the platform just over a year ago.

Last night, the 29-year-old variety streamer reached the impressive milestone of three million subscribers, surpassing her previous numbers from when she was streaming on Twitch.

What’s even more remarkable is the timing of Valkyrae’s success. After transitioning to YouTube, she experienced a gradual but steady growth throughout most of the year before seeing a significant surge.

According to data from Social Blade, Valkyrae has gained nearly two million subscribers in just five months, starting from when she had 1.1 million subscribers on YouTube in August. In the past month alone, she has been gaining approximately 10,000 new subscribers every day.

Recently, Valkyrae has been collaborating with other well-known streamers, including members of Offline TV. Her content spans various genres, from social games like “Among Us” and “Raft” to competitive titles like “VALORANT.”

It’s important to note that YouTube subscriptions differ from Twitch subscriptions. While Twitch subs involve monetary support from viewers, YouTube subscriptions are more akin to Twitch’s “follow” feature.

Valkyrae’s achievement comes just a month after she was honored as the 2020 Content Creator of the Year at The Game Awards.
