Popular Twitch Streamer Tyler1 Disappointed with League of Legends Season 13 Trailer

League of Legends Ranked Seasons Begin with Cinematic Trailers

Every competitive ranked season in League of Legends starts with the release of a cinematic trailer from Riot Games. These trailers showcase playable champions in exciting fight scenes accompanied by an original song. Season 12’s cinematic is an excellent example of this.

Riot Apologizes for Season 13 Trailer Backlash

Season 13’s cinematic received heavy criticism from fans. It did not feature any champions from League of Legends and only offered a sweeping view of Summoner’s Rift with a vague voice-over about overcoming challenges. Riot Games acknowledged the backlash and apologized for not effectively communicating the scaled-back nature of the trailer.

Tyler1, League’s most popular content creator, joined fans in expressing disappointment with the cinematic and Riot’s handling of the situation.

Tyler1 Criticizes Season 13 Trailer and Riot Team

After watching the cinematic, Tyler1 shared his thoughts, saying, “I mean, this isn’t it. It’s not. So I imagine when ranked drops tomorrow, they’re gonna release the real one. This is like a prelude, an intro to the actual one for sure.”

Tyler1 went on to assert that his production team could have done a better job than Riot, suggesting that the trailer was lackluster. He even theorized that Riot’s intention was to “slide the season’s start under the rug” with this underwhelming trailer.

Ridiculing the trailer and Riot further, Tyler1 claimed that the situation had reached a point where people should be fired and the game should be ended.
