Twitch Viewer Admits to $5,100 Chargeback for Pleasure of Hurting Others

Twitch Streamer Scammed Out of $5,100 by Generous Donator

A Twitch streamer known as “Jordyx3” recently fell victim to a scam when a viewer named “ChubaPapi21” donated a total of $5,100 over four separate donations. However, it turns out that the viewer had ulterior motives.

Chargeback Leaves Streamer Empty-Handed

Jordyx3 revealed that ChubaPapi21 successfully filed a PayPal chargeback for the entire $5,100, almost six months after the first donation. Initially, the reason behind the chargeback was unclear, but ChubaPapi21 later admitted that he did it to “hurt people around you, your viewers, [and] streamers’ viewers.”

Streamers’ Struggle with Chargeback

In a tweet addressing the incident, Jordyx3 shared that he fought against the $5,100 chargeback that occurred on April 8. Unfortunately, the credit card company sided with the donator. In a longer explanation on Twitlonger, Jordyx3 provided more details about the donations, including an encounter with ChubaPapi21 at PAX Australia, where the viewer disappeared after going to get drinks.

Deceptive Viewer Changes Username and Makes Contact

Jordyx3 attempted to reach out to ChubaPapi21 through social media, suspecting that there might have been an emergency requiring the money. However, he discovered that ChubaPapi21 had deleted his Twitter, Instagram, and Twitch accounts. The streamer then stumbled upon a new username, “Stefansandan,” which belonged to ChubaPapi21, and discovered that he had been questioning Jordyx3 about the chargeback. This led Jordyx3 to suspect ChubaPapi21’s involvement, as only a few friends were aware of the chargeback at that point.

In whispers, Stefansandan confessed to waiting in Jordyx3’s recent streams to hear him discuss the chargeback. When confronted about his actions, Stefansandan revealed that he did it for the satisfaction of hurting others and not caring about their feelings.

Although the situation was disheartening, Jordyx3’s story struck a chord with many people who donated to him, effectively canceling out the amount lost in the chargeback.
