Twitch users show hate and toxicity towards GTA RP police officers

Twitch Streamer Playing GTA V Roleplay Cops Faces Toxicity from Viewers

GTA V Roleplay cops have an important role in the game as they investigate crimes and stop criminals. However, these cops, controlled by Twitch streamers, have been facing a growing amount of toxicity from viewers. The harassment has become so severe that streamer ConfusedDevil, who plays the cop Tribble, abruptly ended his livestream due to the toxic comments from his chat.

Streamer Receives Backlash for Playing His Role

Prior to ending his stream, ConfusedDevil became frustrated when viewers provided him with information about a crime that he wasn’t supposed to know. In GTA RP, players are not allowed to use any information about the game’s world that isn’t obtained through their character’s perspective. Taking advantage of outside information is considered metagaming and can lead to punishment. Instead of using the forbidden information, the streamer decided to end his stream.

Community Support for Cops

GTA RP fans took to Reddit to express their support for the cops and condemn the negativity. They mentioned that some streamers cannot enable sub mode to avoid toxic behavior if they want to grow their channel. The fans also noted that viewers went as far as posting negative comments on the streamer’s Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Challenges Faced by Roleplayers in Streaming GTA RP

Some GTA RP servers require players to stream their gameplay, leading to issues with toxic viewer behavior. As the popularity of the game continues to grow, streamers will need to find ways to handle these situations without hindering their channel’s growth.
