Twitch Announces GlitchCon Schedule, an Online Gaming Event
Twitch has revealed the schedule for GlitchCon, an online-only event that celebrates gaming culture. In light of the cancellation of TwitchCon due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the event will be streamed across four channels on the site.
CEO Emmett Shear will kick off the event on Twitch’s channel with a keynote, where he will make important announcements regarding the site. Additionally, viewers can look forward to a cosplay contest, GDQ speed runs, a talent show, and an afterparty.
TwitchPresents will offer artist-centric content, while TwitchGaming will feature various pen and paper RPG content and more. TwitchRivals will host multiple competitions. Esports enthusiasts can expect events in popular games such as Fortnite, League of Legends, VALORANT, and Fall Guys, with many streamers and pro players participating.
