Twitch introduces a new Squad Stream feature for effortless collaborations

Twitch introduces Squad Stream feature for streamers

Twitch has unveiled a new feature called Squad Stream, allowing creators to collaborate and share up to four channels within a single window. This update makes it easier for viewers to follow multiple point-of-views. The possibilities for streamers are now endless.

Over the next week, Twitch will showcase the new feature with partnered streamers in various Squad Streams. Viewers will witness a diverse range of personalities such as Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek and Imane “Pokimane” Anys, showcasing Squad Stream in unique ways—from Fortnite squads to group tarot card readings.

While Squad Stream benefits everyone on Twitch, smaller streamers will benefit the most. This feature allows bigger streamers to collaborate or support smaller channels more easily. Previously, if a streamer wanted to support a channel, they would have to end their stream and host them. But now, they can do it seamlessly.

With Squad Stream, bigger channels can give exposure to smaller streamers without interrupting their own streams. By combining four different channels into one, it unifies communities under a single stream, enabling even the smallest streamers to reach massive audiences.

During a Squad Stream, viewers have the freedom to choose which streamer they want to support by donating or using bits. Currently, only partnered streamers can start a Squad Stream. However, as the feature expands across the platform and more streamers adopt it, smaller channels will have a much greater chance of being noticed.
