Twitch hints at upcoming collaboration for Street Fighter merchandise

TwitchCon to Feature New Line of Street Fighter Merch

Twitch is gearing up for an exciting weekend as it prepares to host the annual TwitchCon from Oct. 7 to 9 at the San Diego Convention Center. Alongside this event, the streaming brand will also premiere a new line of branded merch for the highly anticipated game, Street Fighter 6.

Beta keys for Street Fighter 6 have already been distributed to content creators and media officials, even though the game is not set to release until 2023. Twitch appears to be capitalizing on the hype by potentially teasing Street Fighter merch on the same day that TwitchCon begins. Considering the amount of preparation that Twitch has put into this event, it’s unlikely that this timing is a coincidence.

In a short teaser shared on Twitter, old-school Street Fighter characters can be seen battling against the Twitch logo, which remains stationary. After Chun-Li defeats the logo, a character select screen appears, but instead of characters, there are different clothing items. This has led to speculation that Twitch may launch a collaborative Street Fighter merch collection at TwitchCon.

Given the immense excitement surrounding the upcoming game, it’s possible that fans may be able to purchase this merch at TwitchCon, as the release date shown in the teaser coincides with the opening day of the convention. However, it’s important to note that this is merely speculation. We will have to wait until the doors open at TwitchCon to confirm if this theory is true.
