Twitch expands customization options for streamers’ channel pages

Twitch Implements Redesign to Channel Pages for Enhanced Customization

Twitch is stepping up its game in the war of video game streaming platforms by introducing a new redesign to channel pages. This update allows streamers to have more customization options, enabling them to increase their personal branding on their page.

The new redesign offers streamers the ability to have bigger banners, more prominent avatars, and creator-specific coloring, among other features. These additions allow streamers to showcase their personal brand and make their channel page more visually appealing.

Furthermore, content creators now have the option to enhance their bios through a designated “about” section and video on their channel pages. This allows them to provide a more comprehensive introduction and include links to their social media accounts. Twitch has also mentioned that keywords from the bio page will support the page’s search engine optimization, helping streamers gain more visibility.

The introduction video section on channel pages now serves as a streamer’s personal trailer. Even when they are offline, streamers can utilize this section to engage potential new viewers and captivate their attention.

Additionally, Twitch has introduced a new schedule tab feature, which allows streamers to inform their fans about their upcoming live streams. Previously, content creators used panels on their channel page to display their schedule. With the new update, streamers can create a fully-customizable schedule that includes the games they will be playing on specific days.

Notably, Twitch recently added a dedicated directory for esports viewers. This section exclusively features esports-related channels, eliminating the need for fans to search through unrelated content to find esports action.

To ensure a smooth implementation of these new features, Twitch has been testing them with streamers for the past month. The platform has gathered valuable feedback to make necessary improvements and plans to roll out the updates to all viewers in the coming weeks.
