Twitch Enhances Reporting and Appeals Process with New Updates

Twitch Introduces New Features to Improve Transparency and User Control

Twitch, the popular livestream platform for gaming, has announced the release of two new features aimed at addressing user frustrations with reporting and suspension appeals.

Content creators on Twitch have often criticized the lack of transparency surrounding user suspensions. To address this issue, Twitch has launched an “appeals portal” that provides users with more clarity and control over the appeals process. The appeals portal went live today.

According to Twitch, the appeals portal is designed to speed up the appeals process and offer users more information about the status of their appeal. Its main goal is to make the appeals process more transparent for users.

However, it’s important to note that this update only focuses on improving the transparency of the appeals process itself. Some content creators have expressed concerns about not understanding the reasons for their suspensions. Unfortunately, this update does not directly address those concerns.

To access the appeals portal, content creators can find it in the drop-down menu under “Safety” in their account’s profile.

Additionally, Twitch is implementing an updated reporting system to simplify the process for users. This new reporting system, which will be introduced next week, aims to make reporting other users more intuitive and streamlined.
