Twitch eliminates LGB Alliance from the approved charities list following controversy over ‘anti-trans’ stance

LGB Alliance Removed from Twitch Charity Tool Following Controversy

When the LGB Alliance appeared as a listed charity on Twitch, many people immediately raised concerns about their controversial views on transgender individuals.

The LGB Alliance holds the stance that sex is binary—female and male—and is determined at conception, observed at birth, and recorded. They reject the idea of gender identity by using rare medical differences in sexual development to cast doubt on the binary nature of sex.

According to their YouTube channel, the LGB Alliance believes that the rights, culture, and history of LGB individuals are under threat from new ideologies that conflate biological sex with gender identity.

In response to their inclusion as a charity on the Amazon platform, many people have called for their removal, considering it “disgusting” that they were even included in the first place.

More than 16,000 people voted for the removal of LGB Alliance from Twitch.

Ultimately, Twitch heeded the demands and removed the LGB Alliance from their list of approved charities, stating that charities violating their hateful conduct policies or engaging in behaviors that violate their Off-Service policy are not allowed.

The LGB Alliance claims to fully support trans people but maintains that their focus is solely on lesbians, gay men, and bisexual individuals.

However, their controversial views have offended many, leading to them being labeled as a hate group and “baddies masquerading as the good guys.”

Twitch’s decision to remove the LGB Alliance aligns with the widespread view that their ideologies are offensive.
