‘Trainwreck gains new perspective on Twitch gambling ban: No foreseeable changes ahead

Twitch’s Ban on Gambling Content Isn’t as Strong as Initially thought, says Trainwreck

Last month, Twitch made an announcement stating that it will be banning certain gambling content. While this move was seen as a strong stand, popular creator Trainwreck has pointed out that Twitch’s efforts might not be as meaningful as they initially appeared.

Trainwreck Criticizes Twitch’s Decision

Trainwreck, known for his gambling streams, had strong criticisms for Twitch following their September announcement. He called the platform “hypocritical” and “disingenuous.”

However, after conducting more research on the banned content and what will still be allowed, Trainwreck discovered that he will still be able to engage in many of the same activities he did before the ban.

He expressed, “I was looking at these sites. They use the same providers. The same providers that H3H3 and all these other ones attacked, they use the same ones. They have Pragmatic. They have all of them. So not much is going to change. You know, I was sitting here tripping and shit, but nothing’s going to change.”

Twitch’s Gambling Policy Details Not Yet Revealed

Twitch has not yet disclosed the specifics of its new gambling policy. However, their initial announcement clarified that the platform is not completely banning gambling content. It is solely restricting creators from streaming content that lacks “sufficient consumer protection.”

This ban will encompass sites that have sponsored streams for creators like Train, xQc, and Adin Ross. Some of the sites listed by Twitch include Stake, Rollbit, and Duelbits.

Nevertheless, there are other websites that utilize the same gambling content providers, which will likely not be banned unless Twitch changes its stance again.
