Overwatch 2: A better sequel?

Overwatch 2’s release in October perfectly timed for strong viewership. Although the game had some server issues at the start, Blizzard’s resolution of the problems led to a surge in viewership. Twitch drops and cosmetic rewards also contributed to maintaining high viewership throughout the month, according to data from Streams Charts.

Additionally, Overwatch 2 introduced a Halloween-themed Twitch drop, attracting more viewers. Fextralife topped the platform with 9.7 million hours watched in October, playing OW2 for a remarkable 263 hours.

Former Overwatch League players xQc and Seagull followed closely behind, accumulating a combined viewership of over 10 million hours watched.
