TimTheTatMan makes a comeback to Overwatch, expressing shock at rank plunge

Tim “TimTheTatMan” Betar Returns to Overwatch After Popular Demand

Popular Twitch streamer Tim “TimTheTatMan” Betar recently made a return to playing Overwatch after his fans expressed a strong desire to see him play the game again. However, upon his return, he was surprised to discover that his rank had significantly dropped.

TimTheTatMan actively played Overwatch about two years ago before switching to Fortnite. But with Blizzard’s recent changes to the ranked system and the introduction of a new hero, there was a renewed wave of excitement among his fanbase, which ultimately led him to give in to their popular demand and return to the game.

A Shocking Rank Drop

Although TimTheTatMan received a warm welcome from his fans, he was taken aback by his rank drop. As he was loading into a map, he realized that he had fallen from being a top 500 player to Diamond.

Not a Diamond DPS

Expressing his frustration, TimTheTatMan jokingly exclaimed, “I’m not a Diamond DPS!” However, he acknowledged that the statement might actually be true, considering his prolonged absence from Overwatch. He also clarified that DPS was not his main role, as his previous rank reflected his skills with tanks and supports.

It’s worth noting that TimTheTatMan is known for his prowess in various FPS games, including Overwatch. Apart from his extended break from the game, the new role queue system may have also had an impact on his rank.

The Role Queue System and Rank Consideration

With the implementation of the new ranked roles system, players now have separate rankings for each role they play. Taking TimTheTatMan’s admission that DPS is not his main role into account, it’s possible that the new metric played a role in his rank drop.

Despite his initial shock at his new rank, TimTheTatMan’s return to Overwatch has been met with excitement and joy from his fans.
