‘There is a price for everyone’: Mizkif shares his thoughts on xQc’s gambling sponsors and estimated earnings

The Streaming Community Reacts to xQc’s Return to Gambling Sponsorships

The streaming community is buzzing with excitement and controversy as popular Twitch star xQc has announced his return to doing sponsored content for gambling platforms. This comes as a surprise, considering xQc recently admitted to struggling with a gambling addiction. The news has sparked a discussion among other Twitch stars, including Mizkif, who have shared their thoughts on xQc’s decision.

Mizkif’s Perspective on xQc’s Deal

Unlike many fans and fellow streamers, OTK founding member and owner Mizkif does not condemn xQc’s actions. Mizkif, who previously turned down a gambling sponsorship with a potential payout of over $10 million, believes that the rise of online gambling is inevitable. He claims that “top people” at Twitch have stated that the “gambling meta” is here to stay.

According to Mizkif, it may be difficult to argue that gambling is beneficial for the world, but its usefulness is not the main talking point. He states, “XQc doesn’t claim that [gambling is a good thing]. No one thinks gambling is good, everyone thinks gambling is a bad thing. It’s not a good thing, you can’t make an argument to say gambling is good. But I just think everyone has a price at the end of the day, including myself.”

Mizkif goes on to mention that if he were offered $20 million per month, he would definitely consider accepting the sponsorship. He acknowledges that even if streamers experience a decline in viewership, the offers from online gambling companies can be incredibly lucrative. While Mizkif turned down a $10 million deal, he speculates that xQc’s sponsorships pay “disgustingly more” due to xQc’s high viewership and streaming frequency compared to Mizkif.

Despite facing backlash on social media, xQc’s viewership is unlikely to be significantly impacted in the long run. According to Twitch statistics website SullyGnome, the French-Canadian star attracted nearly 150,000 viewers during his recent streams of casino slot games.
