Sykkuno shares his preference for Twitch over YouTube

Sykkuno Opens Up About Leaving Twitch for YouTube

One of the biggest stars in the streaming world, Sykkuno, recently made the switch from Twitch to YouTube. The decision was prompted by a lack of respect and care from Twitch, who even sent him a contract with his name spelled wrong. Now, Sykkuno is enjoying his new platform, but there are still some things he misses about Twitch.

Missing the Twitch Community

On a recent stream, Sykkuno expressed that what he loved most about Twitch was the community. He doesn’t have any particular attachment to the website itself, but rather the fun and engaging community that made chat enjoyable. He believes a similar sense of community can be created on YouTube as well.

Rebuilding an Audience on YouTube

While the Twitch community didn’t disappear when Sykkuno left, he did experience a dip in viewership when transitioning to YouTube. This is because Twitch has a larger user base and is more established as a streaming platform. However, YouTube is continuously growing its audience and making efforts to cater to viewers looking for streamers. So, although there might not be as many viewers as before, Sykkuno is content with the community he has on YouTube.

Twitch vs Community

Sykkuno acknowledges that it’s not Twitch itself that makes streaming fun, but rather the people in the community. Giving Twitch credit for the enjoyable experience would be unfair, as it’s the community that creates the lively and engaging atmosphere, not the website itself.

Despite the differences in viewership, Sykkuno is happy with his decision to switch to YouTube and the community he has found on the platform.
