Sweet Anita discusses the reasons behind her use of the n-word during a stream

Sweet Anita Faces Backlash for Using the N-Word on Stream

Sweet Anita, a new streamer with over 500,000 followers, recently faced significant backlash after using the n-word on her stream. Today, she addressed the incident, attributing it to her Tourette’s syndrome and claiming that it was a tic.

During the stream, Anita explained that she cannot control what she says during her tics. She acknowledges that some people consider her use of the word to be racist; however, she firmly believes that it is a word that is commonly known by everyone, including those with Tourette’s.

In a previous stream, Sweet Anita discussed her perspective on the n-word. As someone who identifies as “half-black,” she heard the word frequently while listening to rap music with her father. She never viewed it as inappropriate or abnormal, so it does not trigger her.

Throughout the controversy, viewers and members of the streaming community have accused her of faking her Tourette’s for attention. However, Anita expressed gratitude that the situation has sparked discussions about Tourette’s. She prefers to turn negative experiences into positive ones, highlighting the supportive comments she has received defending both her and Tourette’s.

As of now, Twitch has not banned Sweet Anita.
