Summit1G Urges His Chat to Avoid Drama, Emphasizing Their Autonomy

Grand Theft V Roleplay Creates Drama and Community Disputes on Twitch

In recent weeks, the re-emergence of Grand Theft V roleplay on Twitch has captivated viewers. Streamers like Jaryd “Summit1G” Lazar have dedicated a significant amount of time to playing various characters in Los Santos, resulting in a surge of drama among different communities.

One of the main issues arising from GTA roleplaying is communities taking the in-game arguments too seriously. When conflicts occur between characters on a roleplay server, it often spills over into real-life disputes among viewers. These disputes have led to invading other streamers’ channels and leaving negative comments in the chat.

In response to the unnecessary drama caused by communities on Twitch, Summit1G addressed a comment made by Jesse “MOONMOON_OW” during a recent livestream. MOONMOON_OW stated that if he had 35,000 or 40,000 viewers for a week, he would “put them in their place.” Although the comment wasn’t directed at Summit1G, he admitted feeling personally affected by it.

Summit1G responded to MOONMOON_OW by saying, “Sure, I’ll just put 60,000 people in their place. What the hell, man? I’m not anyone’s dad—I shouldn’t have to tell you what to do.” However, it seems like Summit1G has had a change of heart in regard to monitoring his audience.

During a recent stream, Summit1G took the opportunity to apologize for the drama caused by his viewers in relation to GTA roleplay. He urged his audience to behave and expressed his frustration with the negative impact from his channel: “I’m sorry that people get slack from this channel, it’s stupid, it’s dumb—don’t do it. I’m telling you right now, please stop.”

Despite his appeal, Summit1G doesn’t hold high expectations for his chat to change their behavior.
