Twitch Streamer Summit1g Breaks World Record in Max Payne 3
Twitch streamer Summit1g, after returning from a break, has broken a world record in the game Max Payne 3 from 2012.
During recent streams, Summit has been attempting the “Any % Glitchless + Cutscene Skip” speedrun category on hardcore difficulty. In his most recent run, he beat the former record time by six seconds, securing the top spot.
At first, Summit questioned whether he completed his run correctly and stopped the timer at the right moment. However, after receiving confirmation from chat, he realized he had indeed broken the record and displayed visible emotions.
After stepping away from his PC for a while, Summit returned and shared that this was his very first speedrun submission. Currently, there are four entries in the official rankings, with the current first-place time being 1:30:58. Once approved, Summit’s final time of 1:30:52 will claim the number one spot.
Despite his lack of confidence in the longevity of his record, Summit expects ThirstyHyena, the previous record holder, to eventually surpass his time. Nevertheless, the streamer is overjoyed with his victory.
“This is a big thing for me,” Summit said. “Winning is not something I’m used to, I don’t win anything in life. The stream being my first win ever, man, it’s just a cool feeling to have held [the world record] at least once.”
