Summit expresses disappointment over brief raids in Escape from Tarkov

Summit1g Criticizes Escape from Tarkov Developers for Shortened Raids

Popular streamer Summit1g found himself on the receiving end of frustration in Escape from Tarkov. After spending over 30 minutes looting in the Interchange mall map, he fell victim to an extraction point camper. In response, he directed his anger towards the developers for shortening raids to just 40 minutes.

In an attempt to accommodate the game’s demand, Battlestate had reduced the raid duration from around 50 minutes to 40. However, Summit1g believes that shortening the games isn’t the ideal solution.

According to Summit1g, shorter game times encourage players to forgo looting and instead camp extraction points, waiting for others to gather loot. He proposes a different solution to Battlestate’s dilemma, saying, “Get more servers. Stop lowering the time. Put them back to 50 minutes or 55, and get some goddamn servers, this is so dumb. It’s f* Interchange, it’s a huge mall, there’s so much to trek. 40 minutes is not enough time.”

Even though Summit1g is just a streamer, his opinion carries weight. With 340 hours of airtime on the game this year, he has been the most-watched personality on Twitch for the past three weeks consecutively. Additionally, he was the most-watched influencer on the platform in January, according to Stream Hatchet data.
