Streamer Shroud’s game interrupted by suspected PUBG stream sniper, resulting in ban

Stream Sniping: A Victory for Streamers

Stream sniping, the act of targeting popular online personalities during their live streams, can be incredibly frustrating. However, seeing offenders being punished for this behavior is a satisfying outcome for streamers.

Recently, while playing PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Michael “Shroud” Grzesiek suspected that a player was stream sniping him. This player abruptly stopped mid-game, indicating that they had been banned. Shroud expressed his joy, exclaiming, “He got banned. That guy got banned. Fucking bitch. That’s what you get. He literally left the last game to get into this game.”

Prior to the player’s ban, Shroud had mentioned the numerous encounters he had with stream snipers. However, witnessing a player being banned right in front of him prompted Shroud to praise Bluehole for their swift response.

“It’s great to see PUBG, or any game for that matter, starting to take action against stream snipers,” Shroud stated. “It’s like they’re reverting back to their old ways—the prime days of PUBG. More developers should prioritize addressing this issue.”

Other prominent streamers, such as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Turner “Tfue” Tenney, and Jaryd “Summit1G” Lazar, have also voiced their concerns about the prevalence of stream snipers in their games. While these streamers have grown accustomed to the issue due to their popularity, it’s understandable why Shroud would feel frustrated by those attempting to ruin his gaming experience.
