Streamer Kristofer Yee playfully teases viewers suspected of view-botting

Twitch Streamer Responds to View-Botting Trolls with a Clown Costume

Twitch streamer Kristofer Yee had the perfect response when his channel was targeted by view-botting trolls. View-botting is a technique where users artificially inflate a streamer’s concurrent viewership by using illegitimate scripts. It’s a common problem on the platform, and some streamers even resort to view-botting themselves to boost their numbers.

On October 7th, Kristofer Yee experienced a sudden surge in viewership due to the efforts of multiple view-botters. But instead of getting frustrated, Yee decided to have some fun with the situation. He put on a clown nose and wig, and even played clown music during his stream. Mocking the view-botters, Yee said, “Can you stop botting the stream now please.”

At the end of the clip, the bots in the chat responded with a flood of messages saying “no continue” followed by random numbers. These chat activity bots are used to inflate chat messages, making it difficult for genuine users to be seen.
