Spanish streamer Grefg has broken the Twitch record for most concurrent viewers during Fortnite’s end-of-season Galactus event. More than 640,000 viewers tuned in to watch the stream, causing the website to crash due to the massive number of viewers. Grefg reached a peak viewership of 639,133, with screengrabs showing him reaching 660,676 viewers at one point.

Grefg’s record-breaking stream surpasses Ninja’s famous stream in March 2018 with Drake, which had over 630,000 concurrent viewers.

While Grefg broke the record for most concurrent viewers on an individual streamer’s broadcast, the record for most concurrent viewers on any Twitch channel is still held by League of Legends during the 2019 World Championships, with a concurrent viewership of 1.7 million.
