Streamer Comes Across Hacker in Among Us

Streamer Encounters Hacker in Public Lobby of Among Us

The popular game Among Us has been gaining even more attention recently, thanks to its presence on Twitch. While many streamers prefer to play in custom lobbies with friends, one streamer decided to join a public lobby and encountered a hacker during their game.

A clip shared on Reddit showcases a streamer named SpernWhale playing Among Us and completing tasks on the in-game map. As the streamer exits a building, they notice that a white crewmate is standing at the door, not moving or following them at all.

As the streamer continues walking with no other players nearby, they are suddenly eliminated by the white crewmate. Surprised by this, the streamer reviews the footage to confirm what happened.

Although Among Us was initially released in 2018, its popularity skyrocketed in 2020. Since then, there have been reports of cheaters in the game, but the recent surge in popularity has resulted in more cases being shared online.

One issue that arises in Among Us is the ability for players to share information with each other, especially in larger groups, giving them an unfair advantage over the rest of the lobby. While this is a problem, it is not impossible to address and relies on the honesty of players to minimize cheating.
