Edison Park Breaks Twitch Streaming Record
Just one month ago, Edison Park set out to break a world record on Twitch. His goal was to stream for the most hours in a single month, surpassing the previous record of 506.5 hours set by Kjetil “Zizaran.” To achieve this, Park committed to streaming approximately 17 hours a day for an entire month.
A Journey of Self-Realization
In a Reddit post on his subreddit, Park shared that his endeavor was about more than just breaking a record. He stated that it was a journey of self-realization, questioning whether he had what it takes to be a successful streamer. Park expressed his uncertainties about his comedic ability, engagement with viewers, skill level, and creativity. Nonetheless, he was determined to push himself and find out if he could thrive in the streaming world.
Success and Dedication
Fast forward one month, and it’s clear that Park has what it takes to succeed on Twitch. Since March, he has streamed every single day without fail. Throughout his streams, Park has played various games and collaborated with his fiancé Leslie “Fuslie,” who is also a streamer.
Despite streaming for about 17 hours per day, Park managed to balance his schedule by operating on a 28-hour day cycle. This allowed him to get six to seven hours of sleep each day. After not streaming for the entire month of January and nearly doubling the total hours he had ever streamed, Park broke the record for the most hours streamed in a 30-day period on Twitch, reaching an impressive 541 hours.
New Beginnings
As the icing on the cake, Park proposed to his girlfriend Fuslie during the final minutes of his last stream of the month, and she said “yes.” While he may not continue streaming for 17 hours straight every day, Park plans to maintain a consistent streaming schedule after his record-breaking accomplishment.
