Strategies to Conquer Hex-A-Gone in Fall Guys

How to Optimize Your Gameplay in Fall Guys’ Hex-A-Gone Mode

Since its release earlier this month, Mediatonic’s Fall Guys has become a popular hit in the battle royale genre. One of the final game modes in Fall Guys is Hex-A-Gone, where the objective is to be the last person standing. However, with each tile disintegrating after it’s stood on, players must think quickly to outplay their opponents.

Optimizing Your Gameplay in Hex-A-Gone

Regardless of the strategy you choose, there are ways to preserve the tiles beneath your feet and optimize your play. Instead of running over each tile, try jumping before the floor vanishes to reduce the overall time it takes for the area around you to disappear. If there are adjacent tiles separated by only one tile length, you can always make the jump between them. And if there’s an island of ground two tiles away, a well-timed jump into a dive can help you cross the distance.

At the start of the match, when everyone is on an equal footing, there are different strategies you can use. If you want to try to catch opponents off guard, you can purposefully fall to the bottom by falling through the center or jumping off the side and diving back inward. From there, you can quickly start removing tiles, starting from the middle. However, this strategy may not work well against experienced players who properly pan their camera downward before falling to another platform.

Adapting Your Gameplay

To succeed in Hex-A-Gone, it’s important to adapt your gameplay based on the state of the round. Tackling the map as a flowchart and being ruthless against your opponents will pay off.

If you’re on the same level as other opponents, playing aggressively and moving quickly to cut off their space can force errors. When trying to remove tiles, you can stand on two tiles at once to halve the time needed to disrupt another player’s run. As the highest player on the map, jumping every step between tiles will stall the need to descend to another level. And if you find yourself as the lowest player, you can choose to play slowly and hope players above you fall to your level or play quickly to make them fall to the slime prematurely.

Practice Makes Perfect

In the end, while these strategies can improve your gameplay, practice is key to mastering Fall Guys’ Hex-A-Gone mode.
