Star VTuber Vox Akuma Takes Indefinite Break from Streaming
On February 11th, popular NIJISANJI VTuber Vox Akuma announced that he would be canceling his YouTube streaming activities indefinitely. This decision was prompted by bad news from his family, and he will now be on hiatus until further notice.
The announcement came as a surprise, considering that Vox had just finished streaming a cozy two-hour session of Nintendogs on YouTube.
Concerns for Vox Akuma’s Well-being
Vox Akuma, who is currently the most subscribed English male VTuber on YouTube, was part of the breakout Luxiem wave from NIJISANJI. He and Twitch independent VTuber Shoto have been leading figures in the English VTubing scene for male talents.
Despite canceling his streams, Vox reassured fans that he is safe and in control of his situation. He tweeted, “Hey, just tweeting to let you all know that I’m safe. My situation is under control but I can’t return to streaming for some time. I’ll update when things improve. Please be good to one another and respect my privacy at this time.”
Vox Akuma Faces Doxxing Attack
A dedicated VTuber reporter known as FalseEyeD informed fans that Vox Akuma is currently facing a major doxxing assault. Sensitive information, including Vox’s supposed home address, has been leaked on social media. The information was shared through a now-private Instagram account that FalseEyeD believes is connected to Vox on a stalker-like level.
The leaked photos on the Instagram account allegedly included food and electronics that Vox had posted about on his Twitter account.
Support and Encouragement for Vox Akuma
Fans and fellow VTubers have been expressing their support and well wishes for Vox during this difficult time. VShojo’s Ironmouse tweeted, “I really hope you are okay. Please continue to take care of yourself, and if you need anything, let me know.” Independent VTuber Senz also offered his support, writing, “I’m sure everyone would agree that your happiness and safety come first, so please take all the time you need.”
