Sodapoppin Receives Twitch Suspension

Popular Streamer Sodapoppin’s Twitch Channel Gets Banned

Sodapoppin, a popular streamer on Twitch, has recently been banned from the platform. The specific reason for the ban has not been confirmed.

On July 21st, the Twitter account @StreamerBans, which keeps track of Twitch partner bans, tweeted at 8:21 pm CT that Sodapoppin had been banned. Interestingly, just minutes before Sodapoppin’s ban, another streamer named Roflgator also received a ban. This has led some fans to speculate that both bans might be related to a joint VRChat stream that they did on July 17th.

Unveiling the Bans on Twitter

StreamerBans, in separate tweets, announced the bans of both Sodapoppin and Roflgator. These tweets served as the initial disclosure of the bans and garnered attention from the community.

Possible Reason for the Bans

During the VRChat stream, the streamers’ avatars were seen wearing revealing clothing, including lingerie. Twitch has specific guidelines regarding sexually explicit content in games. The platform clearly states that users should only spend the necessary time to progress when interacting with in-game nudity or sexual content. Additionally, engaging in simulated sexual activity or erotic roleplay with other players in online games is strictly prohibited. This policy applies to games that primarily consist of user-generated content, in-game roleplay, or interactions in virtual reality.

Streamers Silent About Their Bans

Neither Sodapoppin nor Roflgator has publicly commented on their bans. As per Twitch policy, specific details about the reasons and duration of the bans have not been disclosed.
