Sodapoppin Insists on Being Recognized for the Rise of Among Us’s Popularity

Streamers Claim Responsibility for Spike in Among Us Popularity

The online multiplayer game Among Us has experienced a significant surge in popularity in recent weeks. While the cause of this sudden rise in popularity has been unclear, streamer Sodapoppin confidently claims that it is all because of him.

Streamers Point Fingers in Among Us Craze

During one of his streams, Sodapoppin mentioned that a viewer had watched a Pewdiepie video in which the famous YouTuber questioned who started the frenzy surrounding Among Us.

Expressing his frustration, Sodapoppin said, “He didn’t know it was me, and it just kind of pisses me off. I think Among Us owes me millions, but it’s whatever.”

When a viewer informed Soda that another streamer had played the game before him, he sarcastically continued, “Bulldog played it, and no one gave a shit. I played it, and now everyone’s copying me because I’m famous and clouted.”

Sodapoppin Among the First to Play Among Us

Although Soda’s remarks were likely in jest, he was indeed one of the initial streamers to regularly play Among Us before its surge in popularity.

Among Us was originally released in 2018 but did not achieve record-breaking levels of activity until this year. The game’s immense popularity has led the developers to cancel the production of its sequel, Among Us 2, in order to focus on enhancing the current version.
