Popular streamer Sodapoppin recently shared a peculiar encounter with a police officer during one of his livestreaming sessions. The incident took place when he was still new to streaming and had faced multiple instances of swatting, resulting in interactions with law enforcement.
Due to a prank where viewers ordered an excessive number of pizzas to his house, police officers were dispatched to investigate the situation. However, once Soda was cleared of any wrongdoing, he had a memorable interaction with a particular officer.
According to Soda, the officer grew upset when he asked about the streamer’s income and Soda responded honestly. The officer expressed his own frustrations about not making as much money and continued to discuss the differences between their occupations. Despite the confrontational and awkward exchange, Soda chose to maintain a respectful demeanor given the officer’s authority.
Additionally, Soda mentioned that the officer took him, Nmplol (Nick), and his then-girlfriend on a demonstration of his job. This involved showcasing his equipment and dog, with Soda suspecting that the officer wanted it to be streamed. Eventually, the interaction concluded, but Soda would later hear from the officer again.
Nearly five years later, the same police officer reached out to Soda, allegedly asking him to promote a friend’s GoFundMe campaign. Reflecting on the incident, Soda expressed frustration at how individuals he barely knew would suddenly approach him for financial assistance after long periods of silence. Despite the odd encounter, Soda saw it as a valuable lesson.
Although Sodapoppin has encountered numerous strange incidents throughout his streaming career, this particular encounter stands out for its unexpected return.
