Shroud Tops Viewership Among Streamers Upon Return to Twitch

Shroud’s Return to Twitch Breaks Records

Shroud had an incredible first week back on Twitch after his contract with Mixer ended. According to Twitch statistics website SullyGnome, he averaged 104,752 viewers over 40 hours of streaming, resulting in over four million hours watched.

Shroud dominated as the most-watched content creator on Twitch, surpassing other top streamers like xQc, NICKMERCS, and Gaules in average viewership.

Unsurprisingly, Shroud’s strongest viewership occurred during his first stream back on August 12. He averaged 225,041 viewers during 7.4 hours of airtime and peaked at 471,281 viewers.

This viewership is not only impressive for Twitch, but also historically his highest across both Twitch and Mixer. Before joining Mixer, his highest peak viewership was just over 200,000 viewers, and now he consistently surpasses 100,000 viewers while playing games like PUBG, Apex, and Call of Duty on Twitch.

While on Mixer, Shroud’s viewership suffered, averaging less than 24,000 viewers during his first month. However, since returning to Twitch, he has proven to be the top streamer, consistently attracting over 60,000 viewers on average, surpassing the likes of xQc and NICKMERCS.

In 2019, even after leaving Twitch, Shroud remained among the most-watched streamers on the platform with nearly 63 million hours watched.

Shroud’s return to Twitch has been a resounding success, solidifying his position as a dominant force on the platform. It’s clear that he never really left, and his viewership numbers speak for themselves.
