Shroud to Stream Full-Time as Cloud9’s Substitute

Shroud Joins Cloud9 as Full-Time Streamer

One of the most popular figures in the world of Counter-Strike is venturing into a new gaming endeavor.

Michael “shroud” Grzesiek has decided to become a full-time streamer for Cloud9 on his Twitch channel, while still remaining on Cloud9’s roster as a substitute. This decision comes after Tarik Celik and Will “RUSH” Wierzba replaced shroud and Jordan “n0thing” Gilbert on the Cloud9 team. The new roster now includes Tarik, RUSH, Jake “Stewie2k” Yip, Tyler “skadoodle” Latham, and Tim “autimatic” Ta. When required, Shroud will play as a substitute in both online and offline events.

Shroud’s first Twitch stream after the change was titled “FULL-TIME!” Instead of playing CS:GO, he played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, a game he has been enjoying for a long time. Throughout the stream, Shroud appeared to be in a much better mood compared to his streams during the competition season. It was as if a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Shroud gained over 2,400 subscribers on his first day of full-time streaming.

“Let it be known that I requested to leave,” Shroud said during the stream. “I felt like it was time for me to go… I just want to relax, sit here, play games, and entertain.”

Despite shroud’s decision to step away from competitive play, the community will still regard him as the “King of Reddit” on /r/GlobalOffensive, as his name elevates any post to the top of the subreddit.
