Shadowlands Beta for World of Warcraft Arriving Next Week

Blizzard Confirms Beta Testing for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Expansion

Blizzard has officially announced that it will be conducting further testing for the newest expansion of World of Warcraft, Shadowlands, with a beta phase starting next week.

In a livestream on YouTube and Twitch, game director Ion Hazzikostas shared some insights gained from alpha testing and revealed the developer’s plans to move into the beta phase.

While the game remains in testing, Hazzikostas clarified the significance of transitioning from alpha to beta regarding the game’s progress.

The beta version of the game will offer near-complete playability.

According to Hazzikostas, “There shouldn’t be missing pieces or giant missing pieces that aren’t there.”

During the alpha testing, only specific zones and game modes were available. However, in the upcoming beta, players will be able to test everything.

Summarizing the key points from the beta announcement, Hazzikostas mentioned that “much work remains” for the game, but all features will be accessible, and players will be able to reach the new maximum level of 60.

Additionally, players will finally have access to endgame content, and more players will be invited to participate in the beta.

Reasserting their commitment to releasing the game before the year’s end, Blizzard has scheduled the beta launch just over three months after the release of the alpha version on April 9.
