Rogue Company to Develop Dr Disrespect’s “Arena” Map Design

Dr Disrespect’s Map Design for Rogue Company Coming to Life, Says Developer

A few weeks ago, Dr Disrespect accepted the challenge from Hi-Rez Studios to design a map for their new tactical shooter, Rogue Company. Now, the developer is planning to bring his creation to life.

Lead designer Scott Lussier from Rogue Company tweeted a video today expressing his approval of Dr Disrespect’s map design. He said, “The map looks pretty damn good.”

Lussier also mentioned that the artists at Hi-Rez Studios will enhance the 3D layout created by Dr Disrespect by adding textures, high-quality assets, and possibly even a statue. He assured Dr Disrespect that they would keep in touch about the progress.

Although there was no specific mention of a release date, it seems highly likely that this map will become playable in Rogue Company in the future, rather than just existing as a concept.

Hi-Rez Studios initially challenged Dr Disrespect to design a map for Rogue Company during a sponsored stream shortly after his return to streaming on YouTube.

Given only 24 hours, Dr Disrespect created an arena-style map design on August 11. Hi-Rez Studios then responded to his design by requesting a 3D layout.

Dr Disrespect’s expertise extends beyond streaming as he previously worked as a level designer and created multiplayer maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
